6.3.08 | Britni Wins AustinMusicCity.com Voters Poll for May

Britni’s making headlines! She dominated the May poll for the entire month and judging by the schedule she has, there are definitely a large number of people going to her shows. The reason is very simple, the girl is good. Britni has the triple whammy that will propel her to the top, good looks, great voice and the “it” factor, that combination that all the labels are looking for but seldom find and Hoover has it to spare.

Gifted with an ice-blue clear voice, Hoover has a knack for not only being able to knock out the vocals on her albums but she also has a talent for choosing her material, which is very important and often problematic for new artists. A fine writer in her own right, Hoover also has the luxury of being able to have access to writers like Jack Ingram, Mickey Raphael, Blu Sanders, Keith Brown, and Randy Branhan, just to name a few. Talent attracts talent, it’s just a fact of life in the music biz.

5.17.08 | TONO Rocks The House at Poodie's

Last night, Lowell Carrico, Evelyn Brown, Britni Hoover, and our guest from Worcester, England, Dan Greenaway performed at Poodie's to quite a crowd. Even Poodie himself was pleased with the out come of the night.

The show was entirely acoustic and was headed off by Lowell Carrico. He played roughly a 40 minute set and closed by bringing up Evelyn Brown to do a guest vocal for the song "Bright Lights." After a brief set change Evelyn Brown took the stage and had a fantastic set. Evelyn chose her song "Stranded" as her closer which absolutely left the audience speechles.

Lastly, but certainly not least, the headliner, Britni Hoover, took the stage. She played roughly one hour and ended with an autograph session. Her set included mainly songs off of her new record, and again, it was recieved very well. Check out pics from the gig here.
